In the presence of George Fifield
Fred Barzyk & David R. Loxton, 1980, USA
HD, Color, English, 103’
The project is very ambitious: to adapt for the the screen The Lathe of Heaven, the cult novel of Ursula Le Guin, in which the dreams of George Orr have the ability to change reality. Rather than working on a treatment, a specialist in dream science, Dr. William Haber, seeks to exploit this unique ability in order to solve the problems of all humanity... With a paltry budget but total artistic freedom, Barzyk and Loxton do not hesitate to call on the most talented video artists to bring a unique texture to the ensemble.
